Reiki is a gentle yet powerful form of energy healing that originated in Japan. The word Reiki comes from the Japanese words "rei" meaning universal, and "ki" meaning life energy. This ancient practice aims to promote healing, balance, and relaxation on physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual levels.

During a Reiki session, a trained practitioner channels universal life energy through their hands, either by lightly touching or holding them slightly above the recipient's body. This energy flows through the practitioner into the recipient, helping to remove energetic blockages and restore the natural flow of energy throughout the body.

Benefits of Reiki may include:

- Deep relaxation and stress reduction
- Pain relief and management
- Enhanced emotional well-being
- Improved sleep quality
- Accelerated healing process
- Increased clarity and focus
- Balancing of energy centers (chakras)

Reiki is a non-invasive, gentle therapy that is suitable for people of all ages and health conditions. It can be used as a standalone treatment or as a complementary therapy alongside conventional medical care.

Louise was first drawn to yoga purely for the physical aspect. It was to mend and strengthen her aching body from constantly physically exerting herself with high intensity sports. What she did not realise at the time was that this would be one of the things that would flip her whole world upside down and put her on this amazing path of self-discovery. In June 2014, she completed her 200 YTT with Julia McCabe in Pemberton BC then a 100 HR Yoga Anatomy - Prevention & Therapy training with Julia in May 2018. She has recently completed her 300 HR Advanced Yoga training with Erin Evans & Lydia Zamorano in Canmore, AB. Through her training she has developed a belief in alignment and integrity in one’s practice to ensure a long lasting practice. She understands that there is no one-size-fits-all, and loves to let her spicy personality shine through with thoughtful, fun, and heart filled classes.
